Inclusive Nutritional Therapy & Naturopathy
Andrea Marin-Espinoza
Welcome to Be Natural Health!
My name is Andrea, and I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist Practitioner & Naturopath. I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), and registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) - which is the register for Complementary Healthcare Practitioners in the UK. I am a member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP), and registered with the General Naturopathic Council (GNC) - which is the regulator for Naturopathy and Naturopathic Therapies in the UK.

Passionate about Nutritional Therapy, Naturopathy and Health, I have dedicated years of work and study in the Complementary Therapies field with one mission - help others. I am a client-focused health professional that individually assesses health conditions in order to deliver achievable science-based Nutritional, Naturopathic and Lifestyle interventions and recommendations.
I believe every individual's health is unique. Therefore the importance of working with that person's global health and not merely with the named condition in order to really know the individually biochemical processes and/or tendencies to develop the present symptoms or conditions. However, this path towards your wellbeing will be a journey in partnership, as all areas of your life are considered when making personalised long-lasting health changes.
Besides exploring root causes of symptoms and conditions towards optimum health in adults, I have a special interest in Neurodiverse children - especially those in the Autistic Spectrum. As a mother of two young children - one of them with Autism, I am aiming to also support you and your child's health from an inclusive as well as a warm personalised perspective.

How Nutritional Therapy & Naturopathy at
Be Natural Health can support your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing?
Nutritional Therapy is a science-based complimentary therapy that can be safely used alongside conventional medicine and another type of therapies. It uses the Functional Medicine approach to analyse your body functions, assess nutritional imbalances and look for contributing factors to your symptoms. Naturopathy principles underlies Nutritional Therapy based on the Vis Medicatrix Naturae: The Healing Power of Nature. This suggest that our body can also rebalance within itself with appropriated gentle interventions.
"Let foods be your Medicine and your Medicine your food" (Hippocrates)
Based on a detailed clinical history - including exploring systems imbalances, family history and your environment, personalised interventions can target specific aspects and areas of your health through a holistic whole-person centred approach. We are not all the same, and possible roots causes of your health imbalances will be assessed - not only their symptoms.
“It is more important to know what person has a disease than to know what disease a person has” (Hippocrates)
Based on your specific imbalances, I will recommend science-based personalised Nutritional, Lifestyle & Naturopathic programmes, in a collaborative way, taking into account your preferences and present circumstances. Within your health programme, I will maybe also recommend Functional Testing and supplements.
Functional Tests are a valuable assessment tool in order to explore biochemical imbalances and address them with targeted interventions. Examples of private laboratory Functional Tests can include: Comprehensive Stool Tests (to assess gastrointestinal health/conditions & gut microbiome); Genomic Tests (to assess genetic variants - known as SNPs, thus individual health predispositions and/or reactions to foods); Comprehensive analysis of nutritional state (to assess potential nutritional imbalances and functional needs, related to optimum health or conditions); Stress response testing (to assess and support stress impact in the individual's health).
Supplements are well researched by their therapeutic effects and selected individually based on your specific needs. This can include nutritional supplements and herbal extracts, as well as Bach Flowers Remedies for an inner feel of wellbeing and balance.
Nutritional Therapy & Naturopathy are not a substitute for conventional medicine, and we will work alongside your General Practitioner (GP) and other relevant health professionals. This can include more investigations and tests from your GP as appropriated, and/or referrals when necessary.
Neurodiverse Children at Be Natural Health - every little step to happiness counts!
We are all unique - and this includes neurodiverse children. Neurodiversity is a broad spectrum, that is why supporting their health individually with a personalised approach can make a difference on their global wellbeing.
Research shows that it is very common for children in the spectrum to have physical symptoms or imbalances that can be unnoticed - such as gastrointestinal issues, food sensitivities and nutritional deficiencies. These imbalances can sometimes contribute to changes or exacerbations in their behaviour and other variety of difficulties that can impact the child's quality of life.
Alongside targeted specialist therapy, Nutritional Therapy & Naturopathy at Be Natural Health, can support Neurodiverse children in their journey to thrive, reinforcing their individual capabilities and strengths from within, through an improved feeling of inner wellness and health.
Using appropriated Functional Testing to target interventions, and/or simple - although beneficial - dietary and lifestyle changes within their preferences and routines, can support your Neurodivergent child's global health from now throughout their life. This in turn can as well contribute to your family wellbeing.
